Born and raised in South Sydney, Andrew’s influence was in all forms of art at an early age, coming mainly from his family - his father and his grandfather, both with an artistic background. His father who is a couch painter ,sign writer and artist made it easy on and taught him the love of art.

There was always some tasty metal around his Father’s workshop to look at and Andrew enjoyed seeing the body of metal being turned into something incredible with just paint.  So it was only natural that Andrew picked up a brush of his own and started painting and experimenting on unused masking film. He messed around and kept on practicing until his hobby in art began to be his passion.

In 80s were an inspiring - the interest in movies, amine and street culture graffiti - they all gave Andrew inspiration and the desire to flip what he saw and make it into a real vision and piece of art. These inspirations opened up his mind and he started to get very creative and wild with his artwork, over the years he then learned on developing a distinctive style.

In 2000 Andrew launched his own design business ‘AK Cartooning ‘the iconic of the logo has used as a branding of his work. AK has been expanding his work to fine art, illustration and corporate designs, as well working on custom paint designs for motor vehicles, bike and murals. As a qualified painter, air brusher and artist Andrew has opened his doors to the public using their imagination and ideas, stirring it up and adding his AK flavour to it.
